Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and his allies within Democracy For The Citizens Party are looking forward to making their party popular in Mount Kenya.
The best ground to show how lethal they are politically is to win the Mbeere North parliamentary seat during the by- election that is slotted for November.
Well, as Gachagua fights to dominate the region, there is a problem that is coming up for him in the area.
According to the video shared online, there is a headache for the United opposition team on who should Field a candidate in Mbeere North by election and who should not. According to former attorney general Justine Muturi, his party DP should be allowed to Field a candidate who will be supported by the whole opposition team.

This suggestion by the DP party has been turned down by the DCP party which is led by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. According to them, they have a strong candidate who is capable of defeating an UDA Party candidate who will be supported by President William Ruto.
The failure to agree on the opposition team on who should be the candidate in the by-election is threatening to divide the opposition team with a possibility of handing the seat to UDA Party. Many Kenyans are asking the opposition team to work together if they want to capture the seat going forward. Failure to which, they will not be able to stop the United Democratic party.
“DCP Goes it Alone in Mbeere. The Democracy for the Citizens Party has defied calls by the united opposition to front a single candidate in the upcoming mbeere north by-election. Instead, the party insists that its candidate should be the unified opposition’s choice.” Reported NTV Kenya.
