The country is mourning the death of young souls that were lost in an inferno in Kieni, Nyeri County. According to the reports from the government, the dormitory which was hosting 156 boys went up inflames killing 17. Some of the pupils are fighting for their lives in hospitals in Nyeri.
The incident has been condemned by different people on how a dormitory can host 156 students. The school administration has not yet issued statement on what really happened there.
According to a report by Kenyans, parents who took their kids home during overnight fire should return them. The aim is for head count so that each kid can be account for. Members of the communication who took part in helping put out fire have also been asked to provide information.
PS Belio Kipasang while issuing the directives acknowledged the effort the government is puting in place to help those affected.

Government spokesperson while issuing statement confirmed the administration released over 50 bags of maize to Nyeri. Mwaura also announced other donations that were headed to Nyeri including medics from private facilities who were ready to help.
The government is still probing what really happened that led to lose of lives. May the souls of our departed young ones rest in peace.
