According to reports from Kakamega County. Lugari Member of Parliament Honorable Nabii Nambwera has declared himself the elected ODM party Chairperson, Kakamega chapter. This is despite the ODM party recognizing Governor Fernandez Barasa as the dully elected chair.

Interestingly, former governor Wycliffe Oparanya who served as the ODM party Deputy Party leader is supporting Nabii Nambwera, who has declared himself a chair.
Today, Nabii Nambwera held a homecoming party at his home which was attended by Oparanya. On the other hand, governor Barasa was in Butere just a few meters from Oparanya’s home. He was attending the funeral of his chief officer Jessica Weku who passed away a few days ago.
