President William Ruto visited Homabay County, Nyanza region for the devolution conference. In his visit, he launched projects that have sparked mixed reactions online from a section of Kenyans who have felt it is an indication the President might be eying Gladys Wanga as his running made come 2027 general election.
Well, as the President is in Nyanza region, what his Deputy was doing has left many Kenyans asking questions.
According to a section of Kenyans, the devolution conference is one of the powerful events in the country and by the virtue of President himself being there, his Deputy was expected to be there to welcome him.
Well, details have emerged of what the second in command was doing as his boss was busy In Homabay, Nyanza region.

IRUNDUNI, THARAKA NITHI COUNTY, KENYA

Women are profound champions of family and community values.
They nurture children and influence the values of the youth. The views of women matter if not often openly admitted.
The Government is running programs which promote the welfare of men, women, the youth and families for a better society.
The ongoing resource mobilization drive for nano, micro and small businesses as well as the nationwide fresh produce market construction programme will benefit women grassroots entrepreneurs more.
Women too have a keen stake in the Government programmes for job and income creation for their children of working age, including jobs in the public and private sectors, digital jobs, overseas jobs, micro and small businesses support initiatives like NYOTA and others.
The last mile electricity connectivity programme, the universal health care plan and construction of more roads and bridges will ease movement and access to markets and critical services.
6 markets are under construction in Tharaka Nithi County and another 6 are planned, money for rural electrification has been increased from an initial 400 million shillings to 1.2 billion shillings, the contractors on 6 roads that had stalled seven years ago are back, 7 billion shillings to construct a new and safer Nithi Bridge have been secured and 50 per cent of the residents of Tharaka Nithi County are now enrolled on Taifa Care for medical insurance.
Engaged with over 3,500 grassroots women opinion leaders from Tharaka Nithi County to update them on the progress the Government is making to transform the county and to receive their input.
Urged them to continue shaping positive narratives and to use their influence to guide children and the youth as their contribution to the vision of a better Kenya, free from violence and vice.
