President William Ruto Chief economic advisor Moses Kuria has elicited mixed reactions online with his latest message to Kenyans.
Kuria, known for being bold and vocal on matters of economy and governance. He has left Kenyans asking questions especially him being a close ally of President William Ruto and his trusted advisor too.
While responding to a move by Nairobi County government to close Naivas Supermarket chains In Nairobi region, Kuria claimed that the country will not manage to have job opportunities if entities are being closed.
“We will not create jobs when County Governments wake up and close Naivas and Carrefour arbitrarily. You don’t attract investors by acting whimsical.” Posted Moses Kuria.
His remarks have elicited mixed reactions online with some Kenyans siding with him demanding accountability from Naivas for allegedly selling expired commodities to Kenyans.
Naivas In a letter seen by this writer, denied any wrong doing and even invited Officials to investigate. According to them, the whole move was an extortion attempt and they claimed that nothing like expired food is being sold by them.
