There was a little drama at the republic of the Kenyan Senate after a senator publicly refused to welcome students from his County to the chambers because they looked hungry and not well dressed.
In a video widely shared online, the senator was left embarrassed as he was publicly lectured by his colleagues for unwarranted tantrums towards innocent kids who just needed care and directions.
Speaking remorsefully, Kitui County Senator Enoch Wambua called out his Tharaka Nithi County counterpart for humiliating students from his own county.

According to Wambua, it was wrong for the senator from Tharaka to refuse to welcome the students who had arrived at the Chambers to witness the proceedings.
” Mr speaker, I stand here a very dejected person. What we witnessed today is something that should not have happened. Refusing to welcome students to the chambers because they looked hungry is something that I didn’t expect from my brother. We are all fighting different battles in life. It was totally wrong for him. Hope he apologizes to them and the entire Tharaka Nithi residents.” Said Wambua me
