Lugari Member of Parliament Hon. Nabii Nambwera has filed a lawsuit against several bloggers who allegedly linked him to the shocking death of Mr. Isiaho, the Principal of Munyuki Secondary School in Lugar, Kakamega County.
The legislator, through his lawyer Danstan Omari, has accused the online publishers of defamation and maliciously spreading falsehoods that have caused him emotional distress and damaged his reputation.
The controversy follows the mysterious disappearance and subsequent death of the principal, who went missing on November 3, 2025, while reportedly travelling to pick national examination materials.
According to police reports, his vehicle was discovered along a rural road—intact, but without him inside. The incident immediately raised suspicion among family members, prompting them to file a missing person report with the police.

Five days later, on November 8, Mr. Isiaho’s body was discovered dumped along the Kipkaren River.
Preliminary observations suggested that the deceased had suffered severe physical assault before being killed, indicating possible foul play. Police have since launched investigations to uncover those responsible for what appears to be a gruesome murder.
Following the grim discovery, several bloggers took to social media, circulating unverified claims that linked MP Nambwera to the incident. The posts quickly went viral, prompting the legislator to take legal action.
In a strongly worded statement, Nambwera condemned the false allegations, describing them as politically motivated propaganda intended to damage his public image.
“It is unfortunate that Mwalimu Isiaho, the Principal of Munyuki Secondary School, disappeared under unexplained circumstances. He was a distinguished educator who positively transformed the lives of many students,” the MP said.
“As security agencies continue to investigate the matter, it is regrettable that a few malicious individuals are spreading propaganda and attempting to tarnish my name. I have engaged my lawyers to address this misconduct.”
Nambwera further stated that he is ready to cooperate fully with security agencies to ensure that justice is served, both for the late principal’s family and for himself.
He urged the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to treat the matter with urgency and to scrutinize the bloggers responsible for the defamatory publications.
“The security agencies will work very closely with individuals including Amunga Akhanyalabandu, George Opunga, and Mr. Simon Asievela, among others, to ensure that the truth comes to light,” he added.
Lawyer Danstan Omari confirmed that formal defamation proceedings have been initiated and warned social media users against spreading unverified information.
Meanwhile, police have intensified investigations to establish the motive behind the killing of Mr. Isiaho. Detectives are analyzing CCTV footage, phone records, and vehicle tracking data as part of the ongoing probe.
The late principal’s death has sparked outrage across the education sector, with teachers’ unions and local leaders calling for a swift and transparent investigation.
His colleagues and students have described him as a humble, dedicated educator whose untimely death has left a deep void in the community.
