
Kakamega County Senator Honorable Boni Khalwale is not new to controversies. A few years ago, he took matters into his own hands and poured water on a Police officer who disrupted his meeting during Kieleweke and Tanga Tanga campaigns in Kakamega County.
Well, the self proclaimed bullfighter champion has elicited mixed reactions online after a video of him emerged slapping a county official. In the video, seemingly angry Khalwale. Confronted Kakamega County finance CEC.
How It Happened.
This happened during the inspection of Kakamega County projects by the Senate public Finance Committee. At the inspection, the committee noted development projects that were not completed for a very long time despite the allocation of funds by the county assembly.
In his defence, the finance CEC claimed that the projects will be completed soon and that the county government led by governor Fernandez Barasa will do everything to make sure that they are completed on time.

This response angered Khalwale who told him of for allegedly lying to the committee when it is clear that the funds were syphoned and people are currently enjoying them somewhere else.
The argument continued until Khalwale laid his hands on the CEC prompting other senators to restrain him in a dramatic move that has left many Kenyans talking.
Some Of the Projects That Are Struggling In Kakamega County.
- The County Level VI Hospital.
The Kakamega County government is still struggling with the completion of the Kakamega referral Hospital. The hospital was expected to be operational by this time.
It was initiated by governor Wycliffe Oparanya who left office after his second term. The national government took over the project and Kenyans are waiting to see what happens going forward.
2. Bukhungu Stadium.
It is now almost three years since phase three of Bukhungu Stadium was initiated. Kakamega residents celebrated during the launching of the project but it has now stalled leaving them with only one stadium. The Musalia sports Complex.
