Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga might be forced to go back to the drawing board and solve the problems his party is facing currently.
The once formidable party is facing it rough in the county elections that are being conducted across the country. In Kakamega, things are playing out dramatically. Two Leaders have declared themselves Winners leaving supporters shocked and asking questions.
According to the video shared online, Lugari Member of Parliament Honorable Nabii Nambwera has declared himself the Orange democratic Party Chairperson, Kakamega County. In the video, he called out governor Barasa for trying to sabotage his win by declaring himself the dully elected chair Kakamega County chapter.

Interestingly, Nabii Nambwera was flunked by Kakamega County woman representative Elsie Muhanda, Khwisero Member of Parliament Aseka Miradi, Lurambi member of Parliament Titus Khamala among other elected leaders on ODM party ticket.
The presence of ODM party elected leaders at Nabii Nambwera’s declaration raised more questions on who is really the elected ODM party Chairperson in Kakamega County.

On the other hand, governor Barasa and his team have declared themselves Winners. At Idakho MTC in Ikolomani, they praised Ngala, the returning officer for conducting the election and making sure everything was transparent.
The Orange democratic Party is yet to officially issue a statement on what happened and who won the elections.
“Kakamega County ODM delegates have once again placed their trust in me by electing me as the ODM County Chairperson during today’s polls at Iguhu KMTC, Ikolomani, overseen by Returning Officer Mr. Felix Ngala and a team from Orange House led by Presiding Officer – Hon. Violet Ananda. I remain steadfast in protecting our party from disruptive elements and committed to keeping ODM strong, vibrant, and prepared for 2027 and beyond.” Posted governor Barasa.
