The teachers employed by the Kenya teachers service commission have every reason to smile after the latest announcement from their bosses.
This is coming just days after President William Ruto hosted TSC bosses and the teachers Union leaders at State House Nairobi for Policy making decisions.
During the visit, teachers were promised goodies like 20% of the affordable housing projects. Employment of more teachers in the coming year.

Well, it seems like the implementation of the promises has commenced. According to the Teachers Service Commission, all teachers under the commission will be shifted from MINET medical cover to Social Health Authority by December1, 2025. Will also be enrolled to the public service medical Fund.
This is a relief to teachers who have been lamenting how they have been suffering under the current medical Fund. They have been calling on the government to make the insurance better by making sure that they get good services once admitted to hospitals.
