Generation Z youths have written a letter to Chief Of Defense Forces (CDF) Charles Kahariri seeking protection from police brutality during upcoming demonstrations.
According to the latter seen by this writer, youths have cited cases of missing persons who they believe were abducted by plain clothes officers for taking part in the demos.
They have also mentioned 60 Kenyans who lost their lives from the police brutality and use if excessive force during occupy parliament protests.
Finally, they have also mentioned how welcoming the army was during previous encounter with them on the streets.
Youths have been protesting poor leadership and opulence from the rulling class amidst poverty in the country. They have been calling on the government to listen to them and act accordingly.
Interestingly, President William Ruto appointed members of the opposition team to his cabinet with an attempt to quell tension among youths. Well, let’s wait and see how things play out. Read More Here.
