According to Kiambu County majority leader Honorable Mucheke. Kiambu County governor Kimani Wamatangi was shown high level disrespect at the funeral of Ichung’wah Senior. He was denied an opportunity to even greet his own people despite being the host governor.
The MCA claimed that Ichung’wah used the opportunity to flex muscle and humiliate Wamatangi but residents are going to show him dust.
Here is MCA’s Statement.
We went to that funeral as mourners who were only standing with a brother. However, what we witnessed there was something not to remember. Our governor was humiliated badly by Ichung’wah and his people. They denied him a microphone.
As area governor, he was supposed to be given an opportunity to speak. It was a sad day for us here in Kiambu. The Kiambu County leadership was dismissed. But God will fight for us.
We want to tell Ichung’wah that time will come for him to pay for all this. The humiliation will Stop. Must end immediately.
Speaking at the same event. Governor Kimani Wamatangi confirmed that indeed, he was humiliated for standing firm in his leadership. He promised to continue delivering projects to the electorates without looking at what his enemies are doing.
Wamatangi Statement.
What happened there was unfortunate. We were not treated well. I want to tell my political opponents that I will not be dragged into politics now. My Focus is on fighting for my people. Leading them to the right chapter of development. When the right time for politics comes, we will do politics.
