The Senate is currently listening to the impeachment motion presented to it by the national assembly. The matter at hand is the removal of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua from office.
He is accused of doing 11 things contrary to the constitution of Kenya. The national assembly claimed he is tribal, and acquired funds irregularly by disinheriting his brother’s family.
Well, during the proceedings. James Orengo made allegations during his opening statement that has left people talking.
Senior Counsel James Orengo claimed that Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua travelled from Kenya to London just to get a will signed and not to check on his progress.

He continued by alleging that the late Nderitu Gachagua was being taken care of by his daughter contrary to what the deputy President said.
When asked if he had proof of his allegations. He failed to state clearly prompting the defence team to object to the allegations terming them pure lies.
