Speaker Kingi Speaks On Gachagua Removal, Ban All Senators Form Doing This

Senate Speaker Amason Kingi has Issued a new statement on Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Impeachment motion. The motion was tabled today at the Senate hours after national Assembly voted to remove Gachagua from office.

281 member of Parliament voted in favor of the motion against 44 legislators who defended him. Senators voted to allow the second in command to be listened to by plenary from Wednesday next week. Well, Kingi has Issued a new order to all senators banning them from doing the following.

The senators have been ordered not to travel out of the country anytime between today upto October 19, 2024. Those having activities outside Nairobi during that period are asked to suspend then for now. All focus will be directed at Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua Impeachment.

Amason Kingi has asked Kenyans to be patient during this period of impeachment. He has promised to oversee a clear fair process to the second in command. It will be interesting to watch what will happen at the Senate starting Wednesday next week.
