A few weeks ago, former interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i took Kisii county with a storm. He toured various areas within Nyamira and Kisii Counties addressing residents who welcomed him like a King.
Speaking at Gusii stadium, Matiang’i promised to look for other leaders they can collaborate with in the 2027 election. A few days later, he was spotted at Wamunyoro where he claimed that the opposition team will find a formula that will be used to win elections.

Well, it seems like Ruto and his team were rattled and now they are taking steps to Counter Matiang’i.
According to a poster seen by this writer, the united democratic Party led by Deputy President Kithure Kindiki is planning to pitch a tent in Kisii county. It is reported that , although the meeting has been set as developmental. It is going to be a political forum to counter Matiang’i and his people who are supporting his Presidency dream.
