For months now, Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga and United Democratic party President William Ruto have been enjoying a cordial working relationship. After the formation of a broad based government, the two major political parties have been working together with its leaders seen launching projects across the country.
The big question has been about the possibility of them sticking together until the 2027 general election. Well, the ODM party has released a statement that has shocked those in the Kenya Kwanza administration.

Speaking to Kenyans, Kisumu County governor Anyang Nyong’ostatedthat Orange democratic Party will field a candidate in the 2027 Presidential general election. This is against the ideology of other members who have been claiming that Raila Odinga will support President William Ruto’s re-election.
With this revelation, President William Ruto will have to go back to the drawing board and make a plan without an ODM party just in case they fail to support his second term in office.
” We as a party, we are going to field a candidate in the 2027 general election. ODM party is a national party and must work with other people in realizing its mandate. We are ready and we will do everything in making sure we achieve our target. ” Said Nyongo.
