Revealed: What IG Masengeli Was Doing As Judge Was Sentencing Him To Prison

Today on September 13, 2024. Judge Lawrence Mugambi took a different direction in legal fraternity. He stood his ground and sentenced Kenyan Police boss Masengeli to 6 months in prison.

His decision left Kenyans asking questions on what will happen next now that the acting inspector general of Police is a convict. Well, details have emerged of what Masengeli was doing while high court judge was sentencing him.

Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli was officiating the closing ceremony of sub county Police commanders at Police leadership academy in Ngong, Nairobi county.

“While he was being jailed for 6 months, Acting Inspector General of Police Gilbert Masengeli was officiating the closing ceremony of the Sub-County Police Commanders at the National Police Leadership Academy in Ngong.” read part of the report.

Reason For His Sentencing.

Masengeli failed to appear in court for seven times. This forced the high court judge Lawrence Mugambi to take action against him. The acting inspector general was supposed to shade light on the location of youths who were abducted by police.

The youths were picked from Kitengela for allegedly taking part in protests that were organized by youths. Those protesting were calling for accountability and end of corruption among leadership class.
