Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga has been forced to act quickly to save the Orange democratic Party.
The ODM party has continued to experience cracks both in leadership and party policies. Its secretary general Edwin Sifuna is reading from a different page on broad based administration arrangements.
Well, according to the latter released by the Orange democratic Party, Orange democratic Party has cancelled the delegate elections that happened in Kakamega County and it has called for another delegate conference on September 1, 2025.

This is coming just a day after Kakamega County governor Fernandez Barasa declared himself Chairperson, ODM party County chair in Kakamega. Consequently, Likuyani member of Parliament Nabii Nambwera declared himself winner leaving residents confused on who exactly is the right person to lead the party In Kakamega.
Raila’s move has been seen as a quick way of solving a crisis which was threatening to divide the ODM party in Kakamega County.
Kakamega County has voted in favour of the ODM party for a long time. All the governors and Woman representatives have been elected on the party ticket and the war would lead to the loss of such seats.
