Although he did not talk much about ending corruption in the country during his campaigns, many Kenyans expected that Ruto Ruto would be the man to put an end to the rising corruption cases in the country. Since taking over presidency, Ruto has been trying his best to curb the issue but as things seem to be, his efforts may not be in action but in words.
That is because today, the Head of State was thrown right into the dungeon as his government was dragged into a big money corruption scandal.
Through his official X account, Alinur Mohamed claimed that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua claimed that during his impeachment process, President William Ruto’s government used millions of money in bribing the MPs and Senators.
According to Gachagua as alleged by Alinur, MPs were given Ksh. 500,000 each while the senators were offered Ksh. 10 million each in order to impeach Gachagua.
