Today on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Over 40 members of Parliament from Mount Kenya region endorsed interior Cabinet Secretary Kindiki. They endorsed him as their spokesperson despite Gachagwa being the senor most leader in the region.
They said, the decision was made after wide consultation. Leaders and residents felt the region is lagging behind in development. The current political tension is allegedly created by Gachagwa. This tension is allegedly causing goodies not to be delivered to the area.
” We have agreed that it is time to make a sound decision as a region. We are endorsing Kindiki because of his skills in running the coordination docket assigned to him. We want him to represent us on the negotiation table as Mount Kenya starting today.” said leaders who endorsed Professor Kindiki.
Warning To Ruto.
President William Ruto has been warned just after member of Parliament endorsed Professor Kindiki. He has been told what will happen going forward incase Gachagwa is removed from his position.
Kangema member of Parliament Peter Kihungi has warned the president that any attempt to remove Gachagwa will be rejected by residents and it will have a direct negative outcome for him. He has asked leaders working on impeachment to stop and unity embraced.
