Today on November 1, 2024. Kenya got its third Deputy President under the new constitution. Professor Kithure Kindiki was sworn in at Kenyatta International conference center grounds. He was sworn in by the judiciary officials in presence of Chief Justice Martha Koome.
The event was attended by various leaders across the country, including foreign dignitaries who arrived early. The ambassador of United States of America to Kenya was there too and her Presence has been visible in many regions across the country.
Well, Kenyans took note of President William Ruto’s Message after Kindiki was sworn in as the second in command. His salvos at Gachagua raised mixed reactions among those who were keen.
While delivering his speech during swearing in ceremony, the president fired salvos at Gachagua insisting. Kenyans should not be divided on tribal grounds going forward. He asked Kindiki to be a focused man and serve all Kenyans well in equal measures.
Ruto made his feelings known during that event. He claimed to have been a lonely person during cabinet meetings. Although he did not clearly state why, his move to praise Kindiki made Kenyans question what exactly happened between him and Gachagua.
Well, Gachagua has issued a moving statement after being fired. He has asked Kenyans to invest in family going forward. He has also promised to continue with his famous nature walks.
