For a week now, there has been speculation over the removal of National Assembly speaker Moses Wetangula.
A section of Kenyans reacted differently to the issue keeping in mind it came up immediately after the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Some were claiming the orange Democratic party was fronting Rarieda member of Parliament Otiende Amollo as the next speaker.
Well, the ODM party has responded to the video going around of Raila Odinga threatening to impeach Wetangula.

Taking to his official X account, ODM Party communication director Philip Etale has claimed that the video was made in 2023. He has asked Kenyans to disregard it and move on with their issues.
His response is relief to Moses Wetangula and his allies who might have developed jitters from the speculations spreading across the country.
“The video doing rounds of @RailaOdinga talking about Speaker @HonWetangula is an old video. He made the remarks during the funeral of the late Hon. Lawrence Sifuna in 2023. Ignore it.” Posted ODM Party communication Director Philip Etale.
