The late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga passed away in India on October 15, 2025.
His death left many Kenyans shocked and devastated keeping in mind his brother Oburu had earlier told Kenyans that the former prime minister was well and was planning to fly back to the country just two days before his untimely death.
Well, Oburu has finally opened up on how President William Ruto fought so hard to save Raila Odinga before the demise.

According to him, when the President heard that Raila Odinga was sick, he visited him at his Karen home. He wanted to know exactly what was wrong with him.
He even engaged his own personal doctor before he decided to chatter a jet for Raila. The jet took Raila to India the following day since it was treated as Urgent.
Oburu continued by claiming that, Raila Odinga was scheduled to travel back to the country just two Days before his last breath. He had been treated in Mumbai and the main issue which was in his brain was well managed.
Oburu thanked President William Ruto for standing with the family of his brother after the death and even during sickness. May His soul continue resting in peace.
