Nyeri County governor Mutahi Kahiga is one of few allies who stood by former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua throughout the impeachment process.
In one of the videos before Gachagua was removed from the office. He dared those who plotted the removal of Gachagua from the office by telling them to proceed with the plan but there would be consequences.
He even asked them to think about the repercussions that the removal of the former Deputy President will come with.
Well, today, he has sent a message to President William Ruto after the successful impeachment and swearing in of Kindiki as the second in command.

Unlike before Impeachment where Mutahi Kahiga used to throw around threats. This time he had a humble message to President William Ruto. He asked him not to sideline Nyeri county because of Gachagua removal.
He went on to claim that Nyeri residents voted in a huge number for the current administration and they deserve something that will be better for them.
” Mr. Ruto, I have a message for you. Kindly do not stop helping people of Nyeri because of what happened. We voted for you here and at least we deserve something from your administration” said Kahiga.
