There will be no rest for Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua even after impeachment goes through. He has been told what awaits him immediately he is shown the door by members of national assembly who are planning his ouster.
According to those close to the motion, they have outlined over ten reasons why he will be removed from office. One of the main reasons is him threatening the President to an extent of banging the table in rage.
United Democratic Party Secretary general Hassan Omar has hinted at kicking Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua out of the Party. He said that once Impeached, the second in command will have to leave since his conduct won’t be accepted by the party.
“If impeachment goes through, we will remove him from the party. That is our next action since he can’t be tolerated here. He is undermining the bottom up policy by displaying tribalism and gross misconduct which is wrong” Said Omar.
