The Impeached Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is a man under siege in the United Democratic Party.
This is coming just a few days after he was removed from the office. According to reports, a meeting was chaired today and his removal from the party position was discussed and implemented immediately.
According to a letter shared by the United Democratic Party. The national executive Counsel sat today, November 11 and agreed to replace Gachagua with Kindiki. They cited the removal of Gachagua as the second in command as a reason for their action.

Professor Kindiki who was also present assumed the office immediately leaving gachagua as an ordinary member of the UDA Party. It is not yet clear if the former Deputy President will be leaving the party for a new one or he will stay put and be part of the party he passionately championed its agenda.
Gachagua was toppled for allegedly undermining his boss. He was accused of bringing divergent voice in the cabinet and publicly opposing the decisions made there.
He was also accused of being tribal, by championing only interest in the Mount Kenya region despite him being the second in command of the republic of Kenya.
