Martha Karua is one of the most known female political leaders not only in the country but also in the continent. She is not only known because she has been in active politics for years but she is also known because she is always vocal and extremely controversial in most occasions.
Time and again, Karua has been causing a stir due to her controversial remarks and today, she left Kenyans with plenty to ponder after sending a strong message to Tanzania leaders.
Through her official X account, Martha Karua sent a message to Freeman Mbowe and Tundu Lissu after Lissu taking over the leadership of their party (CHADEMA). Karua maintained that what Mbowe and Lissu did was a great thing that demonstrates political maturity and belief in democracy.
Here in Kenya, some leaders have been clinging on party leadership for years. They have not been allowing others to take over and thus, Karua’s message to the two Tanzania opposition leaders should serve as a lesson to our leaders.
