Earlier on today, Democracy For The Citizens Party leader Honorable Rigathi Gachagua lectured his Deputy Party leader Honorable Cleophas Malalah on the appointment of Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi as opposition spokesperson, something that Malalah had rejected.
Speaking at a church service, Gachagua claimed that Malalah has filled most of the positions within the DCP party with youths. And therefore, it is important to have older people too for the smooth running of the party.

Well, Malalah has finally responded to the lecture leaving Kenyans talking online. Speaking in a video shared online, Malalah acknowledged meeting Gachagua and having a discussion about the appointment of Mukhisa Khituyi as the opposition team spokesperson.
The vibrant leader claimed that, although he had a strong feeling that a youth should have been given that opportunity to run the opposition spokesperson office, Gachagua made him see things in a different angle.
” I know we had issues on the appointment of Dr. Mukhisa Kituyi as the opposition team spokesperson. Gachagua who is my party leader and someone that I respect so much called me. He explained to me in detail why they arrived at the idea of picking mukhisa Kituyi. As a leader who listens, I listen to him and now, everything is okay. We as the DCP party we remain a United party and Gachagua is a leader who is very bright. With him, we are going to win everything.
Mukhisa Kituyi’s Appointment As Opposition Spokesperson.
In a meeting attended by opposition leaders; DCP party leader His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua, Wiper Party leader Honorable Kalonzo Musyoka, DAP-Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa, and Martha Karua agreed on Mukhisa Kituyi as the speaker person.
According to them, Kituyi is a seasoned politician with vast experience of leadership both inside and outside the country.
He has held different positions in the country ranging from Kiminini member of Parliament to the Cabinet Secretary in the Kibaki led regime.
However, his appointment raised eyebrows across the country with DCP party Deputy Party leader Honorable Cleophas Malalah claiming it was wrong for such a move when youths are Many and capable of holding such positions.
Opposition Unity.
With Malalah’s declaration on Mukhisa Kituyi after consultation with his party leader Gachagua. This is an indication that the opposition is united and Kenyans should not expect any split going forward.
The team will now how to move with speed and prepare for by-elections across the country. With them going against President William Ruto, they will use the opportunity to see if they have good support on the ground. Kenyans are watching keenly as things unfold going forward.
