During the cross-examination of the nominated MCA Hon. Anita. Advocate Ongoya demands to know if she was at the assembly during impeachment and if she had her phone on that day. In her response, she claimed to have had only her phone for only 3 hours and it went off.
She also refused to respond to the question if she logged into the system and pressed the abstinence button to allow the house not to count her vote on the impeachment of governor Mutai.
In her response, she claimed there was no button to press since she system was not available to her. This response made advocate Ongoya to request for the intervention from the speaker on her behavior. Something that she continued being defiant even after speakers directives.
“Mr. Speaker, this witness is now bordering on rudeness and not just being hostile. I have been very polite to all witnesses because it’s my professional duty to be. I deserve respect. She is disrespectful.” Protested Lawyer Elisha Ongoya.
