The more we try to change things, the more they remain the same. Instead of jumping from frying pan straight to fire, it seems like Kenyans jumped with the frying pan tied on them straight to fire. During 2022 general election period, President William Ruto promised not to humiliate Gachagua the way he was humiliated.
He claimed Uhuru Kenyatta humiliated him during his reign and allowed junior officers to Attack him. It seems like the same thing is playing out with Gachagua. The second in command has been allegedly humiliated both in public and private by those close to the head of State.
According to a report by NTV Kenya on September 28, 2024. The Deputy President of the republic of Kenya Rigathi Gachagua demanded 8 billon shillings to part ways. It is claimed he calculated the amount by multiplying all the votes President William Ruto got by 4000 shillings.
His demands were declined by President William Ruto hence making him so angry that he banged the table. Those who are preview to the details of what happened are saying what happened on that day was strange and it left them asking questions.
His conduct on that day has been listed among reasons why he is going to be impeached. Other reasons are gross violation of the constitution of Kenya and syphoning of public resources at his office.
The impeachment motion against him is expected to be presented in Parliament next week. Kenyans are waiting to see what will be discussed in UDA Party meeting slotted next week Tuesday at State House.
