The Senate remained a tensed environment after Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua failed to appear before it for cross-examination. According to the Senate speaker Amason Kingi, the whole afternoon session was reserved for Gachagua however he failed to appear.
His lawyer Paul Mwite told Kingi that he could not get hold of his client. Well, Kenyans have finally been told where Gachagua is and what happened.
According to his attorney Paul Mwite, Gachagua has been taken I’ll and he has been admitted to hospital. He has asked for the Senate to give him up to 5pm today to return with the exact reason why the second in command was admitted to hospital.
This is a new thing Since it has never happened before. No governor or Deputy governor has been taken ill during the removal period. Kenyans are watching to see what will happen going forward in this case.
