The members of Kericho County have impeached their governor, his Excellency Mutai. According to the news reaching us, the first term governor was allegedly removed from office for the misappropriation of over eighty five million shillings.
In the morning, he arrived at the assembly chambers flanked by his lawyers and supporters under a tight security.
According to our sources within the Kericho County assembly, immediately the speaker announced the impeachment, Chaos broke out with leaders exchanging blows. Two members of the county assembly have been rushed to the hospital for treatment. 33 of them voted to impeach the governor.
