In the 2022 general election, former President Uhuru Kenyatta stood firm in his decision not to support his then Deputy William Ruto. According to him, it was Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga who had the interest of Kenyans at heart and was seen as a person who could continue with the legacy Uhuru had initiated.
Unfortunately for him, Raila lost to Ruto and he handed over power peacefully as he had promised.
Since then, he has not been really active in politics save for a few addresses he has been making here and there on the developments in the country.

Well, Kenyans today have been left talking and discussing the possibility of him supporting President William Ruto re-election in 2027 over what was witnessed in Karen.
According to the information reaching us and pictures shared online, former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trusted man Mr. Kinyua was among those people who attended President William Ruto’s cabinet retreat in Karen. His presence has elicited mixed reactions online with Kenyans now speculating the possibility of Uhuru Supporting Ruto in 2027.
Kinyua was one of the key figures in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s regime. He was credited for making things right in the cabinet and public service in general. During his time at the helm, he made things at State House smooth as he was the head of public service and together with other leaders, made Uhuru perform well in matters of infrastructure.
When Ruto took over, he fired him, something that did not sit well with a section of Kenyans who felt Ruto needed him. With his presence, maybe Uhuru is joining the train? Time will tell.
