Inspector general of Police Douglas Kanja and interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen are currently being grilled at the Senate. They are answering questions on how blogger Albert Ojwang who was picked at his home ended up dead in Nairobi Central Police station.
During the session, senators noticed something from the inspector general while answering questions prompting them to take action immediately.
According to the video shared from the Senate, IG Douglas Kanja was seen dodging some questions asked by the senators. One of the questions was how Albert Ojwang ended up at a solitary confinement and if he fit the status to be placed there.

On his side, Kanja responded by claiming that he is not sure what really happened and was also waiting for the answers from IPOA. This is because the investigation is ongoing.
Well, the members demanded that he shed more light on the matter and not to play around with diverting questions.
Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale asked Kanja to be truthful and not to play his cards by hiding the truth from them.
