Although President William Ruto has been doing everything possible to lure as many MPs as possible to support him, he has been facing difficulties in convincing some of the top leaders. Infact, things went even worse for the Head of State after falling apart with Rigathi Gachagua as several Mt. Kenya MPs shifted their loyalty to the former Deputy President.
One thing that Ruto has been allegedly using to lure opposing leaders is handouts but today, Kenyans were astonished as popular MP publicly gave Ruto demands to fulfill before, otherwise he won’t take handouts from Ruto.
Through his official X account, MP Peter Salasya publicly declared that he refuses to accept handouts until when President William Ruto will complete all stalled projects in Kakamega county. The Mumias East MP went on to state that he will neither go to StateHouse nor will he accept any amount of money from the government be it Ksh. 100,000 or more if Ruto doesn’t work on the stalled projects in his county.
