Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga allegedly requested to be laid to rest at Kong’o Karamajongi next to his Marry Juma Odinga mother who passed on in 1984 when Raila was detained at Shimo la Tewa prison.
According to the will too, he requested to be laid to rest 72 hours after his demise. In this case, he is supposed to be laid to rest on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The family has not yet confirmed if they will honor the will or not. His wife Mama Ida Odinga is on the way to India where she will be part of the delegation that will bring back Raila’s remains to Kenya.

They are expected to touch down in Kenya tomorrow on October 16. The date of his Burial has not yet been committed but the President has declared seven days of mourning the departed hero.
According to his will, he asked to be laid to rest within 72 hours of his death. If they follow his will, he is supposed to be laid to rest on Saturday October 18, 2025.
