Former Kakamega County Senator Cleophas Wakhungu Malalah can now relax after the latest court ruling on his imminent arrest. A few days ago, the Western region police boss asked Malalah to present himself to a nearby Police station for questioning. He was supposed to shade light on how things played out in Kakamega during his homecoming ceremony as DCP Deputy Party leader.
According to the reports from the courts, Malalah has been granted anticipatory bail that will see him not arrested. He has been ordered to appear before the Police officers not later than third June.

In case they have a case against him, they will not be allowed to arrest him but rather just inform him of the court session and he will avail himself there. Malalah and his legal team paid 100,000 Kenya shillings as anticipatory bail.
He was accused of causing chaos in Kakamega Town during his home coming party after being appointed interim Deputy Party leader at the DCP party. Him, together with other leaders were teargassed in Kakamega Town forcing them to run for their lives.
Well, let us wait and see how things will play out going forward and if he will be arrested or not.
