Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is a happy man after what Uhuru has said during his town hall meeting in Muranga County.
Uhuru attended a Jubilee Party meeting which was organized to popularize former interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang’i who is now the party flag bearer ahead of the 2027 general election.
Matiang’i was appointed by the Jubilee Party national executive committee after intensive consultative.
The party is currently under the United opposition and Uhuru seems not to be happy over what is happening within his own party. This has forced him to defend the former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua despite having Issues with him.

In his speech, Uhuru called out Kioni asking him to calm the troops from the Jubilee Party and caution them against attacking former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. This is a big boost for the former second in command who has been Fighting to unite the region against his former boss, President William Ruto.b
Gachagua might eventually have a handshake with Uhuru Kenyatta and this will be had news for President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 general election. He might be forced to focus on other regions for the support.
