Homabay County governor Her Excellency Gladys Wanga is under intensive scrutiny after revealing her plans for the late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga who passed away just two weeks ago, and was laid to rest at his home in Siaya.
Wanga and Raila enjoyed a good political relationship. She was always present in almost all political functions attended by the late Odinga. Well, her latest suggestion has landed her in trouble.

According to the communications from governor Gladys Wanga. The county of Homabay and Migori will have an opportunity to pay their last respect to the late Orange democratic Party leader Honorable Raila Odinga at the Raila Odinga stadium in Homabay County. This event is supposed to take place on November 5, 2025.
Well, according to political analysts from Homabay County. They have asked Wanga to Stop spending millions on the memorial service of the late Odinga when she can use the same funds to do something good for the people of Homabay. Something that even the late Raila will appreciate.
Wanga allies are backing her claiming she is right to do so and people should allow her to mourn her political mentor the way she feels without attacking her.
