The People of Kenya are keenly following what is happening at the Senate of Kenya. The impeachment of Kericho County governor, Eric Mutai, is something that has elicited mixed reactions among residents from his county.
A section of residents are asking the Senate to uphold the impeachment by the county assembly while others are asking the Senate not to impeach the government.
Well, just like the way former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua went missing during his time to defend himself at the Senate on his removal from office. A key witness in the impeachment of Mutai has disappeared without a trace leaving.
According to the senators who sought to know where Ms. Edina Tanui vanished too. They demanded for the speaker to issue a ruling compelling her to appear before the house and explain her case.

What baffled the senators was the fact that, Ms. Edina Tanui had sworn an affidavit supporting both the County assembly for the impeachment of the governor and also another affidavit standing with the governor against the impeachment as a key witness.
Addressing the issue, Kakamega County Senator Boni Khalwale demanded to hear from the witness why she was representing both sides as a key witness in the case.
” Mr. Speaker sir. I would like to listen to this witness, Edina Tanui. I can see, she has signed an affidavit in both sides. We therefore ask to know what she is going to say in her defence. ” Said Khalwale.
