Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of Democracy for the citizens party has sent a warning to those planning to vie for the top seat in the country come 2027 general election.
Known for his combativeness, Gachagua did not mince his words while speaking to Journalists at the DCP party headquarters on the possibility of winning the coming general election.
In a video seen by us, Gachagua warned aspirants not to just post online how they are good to lead this country but should focus on moving to the ground and convince Kenyans to vote for them.
He claimed that, some people only appear to be popular online with so many posters without stepping on the ground to sell the agenda to the people of Kenya who are going to vote for them.
We must be careful not to continue with what we are doing if we must remove Ruto from the top seat. Some people are only posting lots of posters online believing they will be President by just sitting and waiting to get voted in. I want to tell them, things don’t work that way. They must hit the ground running vigorously and make sure that Kenyans know then all over for them to clinch the seat. ” Said Gachagua.
