Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has left Kenyans talking after his declaration today December 22, 2024 in Naivasha, Nakuru County.
Flanked by his allies, Gachagua attended a Church service in the area where he fired several Salvos at President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration.
However, what left Kenyans talking is his statement on Kalonzo Musyoka. A declaration he made a few days ago was changed.
While in Mbooni, Makueni County claimed that Mount Kenya region owed Kalonzo Musyoka a political debt. Today in Naivasha, he made a turn on his sentiments.

He claimed that, after listening closely to the ground, Mount Kenya does not have a debt with anyone. Continued by claiming it is debt payment politics that made them vote for Ruto are now suffering for something they don’t know.
” After listening to the ground closely. They have Told me that in the Mount Kenya region we don’t have any other debt. Therefore, I retract my earlier declaration. We as a region we don’t owe anyone anything. We paid the debt to Ruto and he published us. We are not going to repeat the same mistake going forward.” Said Gachagua.
With that, Kalonzo will have to be keen on who to trust politically. Will he need to sign an agreement with Gachagua to avoid future regrets? Well, let’s see what happens next.
