Kenyans will be going to the polls in less than two years from now. This will be the second term for the current head of state if he manages to secure a win.
President William Ruto, the man who was once a darling of many Kenyans is now fighting to reclaim the spot that seems to be long gone. Kenyans are not more focused on vetting their leaders ahead of the polls.
In 2022, President William Ruto and his team made several trips in the Mount Kenya region. There, he was always received like a king with residents lining up on the roads and markets to listen to his hustlers nation narrative. This is not the same anymore.

His visits to Mount Kenya have encountered heckling of leaders leaving him watching the unfolding events helplessly.
Well, one Kenyan has elicited mixed reactions after putting up a poll that has left Gachagua distance third and Ruto defeated.
In the poll, former interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi took the first position with over forty thousand votes. This is an indication that Kenyans believe in him more than the sitting President William Ruto.
President William Ruto came in second with about 13 thousand votes followed closely by Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua who took third position with eight thousand votes.
Kenyans have been left talking with others demandingly for development and a halt of politics until 2027.
