Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua while in Naivasha sparked mixed reactions over his sentiments. While attending a church service, Gachagua alleged that the government of the day is targeting the Mount Kenya region with illicit alcohol distribution.
He continued by stating that, three people died in Nakuru, others in Kiambu and Kirinyaga Counties over the same alcohol menace.
According to him, he had dealt with the menace while in office and immediately after he left, the companies he had denied licences have now been opened again.
Well, today on December 23, 2024. Interior PS Omollo asked Gachagua to stop issuing statements and report anything to the authority.
Gachagua has responded to the call and issued a comprehensive statement.
