Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is turning out to be the most fierce critic of President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Administration. Since he was removed from office, Gachagua has been moving from one region to another pleading with Kenyans to send Ruto home.
He has been visiting radio stations and TV stations mainly domiciled in the Mount Kenya region with a message to his people. ” Do not reelect Ruto”
Well, today on September 21, 2025. Gachagua while appearing on Inoro TV station revealed how he avoided Ruto’s trap after leaving the USA.

Account to Gachagua, the government of President William Ruto had set a trap for him to field a candidate in Mbeere North. After analyzing the ground, he arrived at the solution, it was better for them to field a single candidate who will not give Ruto and his team a chance to thrive in by-election.
” When I left the United States of America, many people within the government expected me to Field a candidate in Mbeere North. After thinking critically, I noticed it was a trap. The only way we were going to win this election is by going in as a United opposition. That is the way you see them fighting me now.” Said Gachagua.
