Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has pulled a tactical move in Mount Kenya region that has left those allied to President William Ruto and the top UDA Party leaders scratching their heads.
For months now, the Kenya Kwanza administration has been meeting key leaders while Gachagua was in the United States of America. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki had turned his Tharaka Nithi residence to a meeting point.
Well, Gachagua has unleashed a move that he always loves, he has decided to use their own tactics to defeat them.
Just a week ago, Kindiki hosted Mount Kenya region musicians at his home. He later invited the same at the State House together with President William Ruto. The duo promised artists goodies going forward. They even pledged to make their lives easier through policies that will be initiated in the coming days.

Some of the things mentioned were monetization of their contents. President William Ruto stated that he will be talking to more companies within and outside the country on how Kenyans can earn good money through their contents.
Well, while hosting artists too at Wamunyoro, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua called on all content creators to be vigilant not to be dupped by people in leadership positions. He claimed that, if they are genuine in helping artists, why are they not doing that now while in government and instead, they are asking to be supported again for them to get to implement those policies.
The move by Gachagua to call on artists at his home has been hailed as a tactical move by political analysts. They are claiming that Gachagua is erasing the footprints made by Ruto and his Deputy Kindiki.
