Democracy for the Citizens Party leader His Excellency Rigathi Gachagua has told Kenyans about who is forcing him to run for the top seat in the coming 2027 general election.
Gachagua, the now vibrant opposition leader was removed from office through impeachment motion tabled by Kibwezi East member of Parliament Honorable Mutuse. His main issue was tribalism and abuse of power.
He was accused of targeting other government officials in a way that left them humiliated. While voting to impeach him, he set the record straight claiming he was being targeted politically.

Well, after his removal from office, he has turned out to be a force to reckon with. And while speaking to Kenyans from Mathioya, Gachagua finally revealed who is forcing him to run for the top seat in the country.
According to Gachagua, Kenyans across the country have been calling him and demanding that he be on the ballot. He claimed this while speaking during a funeral service in Mathioya.
He continued by claiming that, those who have been calling him have attributed their decision on the fact, he is a truthful person who will defend the country at all cost.
” Kenyans have been calling me asking that I run for the top seat in the country. They want a truthful person who will propel this nation to greater heights and by them asking, I will not fail them. I will run for the top seat if given an opportunity to do so by the United opposition.” Said Gachagua.
The former Deputy President also asked people from North Eastern, especially Mandera county to be vigilant and report any somalia militia groups in the county. He criticized the government for failing to protect it’s people and instead focused on playing games with lies.
