Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua opened up to many things that happened when he was in government. Ranging from how they agreed to review the health insurance scheme for the benefits of Kenyans to being betrayed by the person he trusted most, William Ruto.
Responding to YouTuber Oga Obina on his YouTube show. Gachagua opened up on what President William Ruto did to him when he Ignored his orders at the height of GenZs protests.
According to Gachagua, immediately after he held a press conference after President William Ruto’s address to the nation. He called him and made it clear he was not happy. He later met him In Nairobi where he lectured him angrily. Gachagua allegedly didn’t respond and he left a frustrated man.
The former second in command claimed that he called the presser after the President had held his in Nairobi just to make sure that Kenyans know the truth. He was not happy with the idea of the President blaming GenZs and calling them criminals after they invaded Parliament.
Gachagua alleged that before holding the presser, the head of public service called him demanding that he cancel his presser because the President was planning to have his the same day. Something that he agreed upon only if the President was to address what he wanted to inform Kenyans.
