The new football season is slowly taking shape, and with it comes renewed optimism among clubs, fans and administrators alike.
As preparations intensify across the country, attention has turned to the structures that support domestic competitions and the partnerships that keep them running.
The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Mozzart Bet Kenya formally unveiled the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup, marking the start of a fresh chapter for the knockout competition.
The launch signals continuity for one of the country’s most anticipated domestic tournaments, which has grown in stature over recent seasons.
FKF and Mozzart Bet Kenya have signed a new three year sponsorship agreement worth Sh90 million, reinforcing the betting firm’s commitment to Kenyan football.
Under the deal, Mozzart Bet will continue as the title sponsor of the national cup competition, ensuring consistent financial backing for the tournament through to 2029.
FKF officials said the partnership will play a critical role in strengthening grassroots and mid-tier football, noting that the Mozzart Bet Cup has provided a vital platform for lower league teams to compete against top flight sides.

Over the years, the tournament has produced surprise runs, dramatic upsets, and opportunities for lesser-known players to showcase their talent on a national stage.
Mozzart Bet Kenya representatives described the agreement as part of a broader vision to support local sports development beyond sponsorship visibility.
They noted that the competition aligns with the company’s long-term goal of investing in sustainable football structures while engaging fans across the country.
The cup winner will once again earn the right to represent Kenya in continental competition, a prize that has added to the tournament’s intensity and appeal.
FKF believes the guaranteed funding will help improve organization, prize money, and logistical planning, areas that have previously faced challenges due to financial constraints.
Clubs have welcomed the announcement, saying predictable sponsorship gives them confidence to plan for participation without uncertainty.
Coaches and players also see the tournament as a crucial avenue for competitive match exposure, particularly for sides outside the Kenyan Premier League.
As the countdown to kickoff begins, FKF has promised to release detailed fixtures and regulations in due course.
With the renewed backing in place, expectations are high that the 2026 Mozzart Bet Cup will build on past successes and further cement its place in Kenya’s football calendar.
