Orange democratic Party Secretary general Senator Edwin Sifuna has been on record attacking President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration despite being within the broad based government.
In Media interviews, Sifuna has publicly criticized the Kenya Kwanza administration for allegedly overseeing the extrajudicial killings of youths during protests.
He went on to make it public that he will leave his party position if the ODM party will support President William Ruto’s re-election in the 2027 general election. Well, he has been warned and told to stop stepping on a plate that other people are feeding from.

According to Kisii county governor, his Excellency Simba Arati. The only mistake Sifuna is doing, is trying to stop people from eating. In his view, the ODM party secretary general should at least allow people to eat for a while before challenging them on what they are doing.
“The only problem with my younger brother here Sifuna is, he is trying to step on a plate that is being used by other people to feed on. This will result in a highly volatile political challenge.” Said Arati.
